Maddison 4x4 was established in 1989 by Steve and Wendy Maddison and quickly established a flourishing independant Land Rover servicing and accessory business with a good reputation, both locally in Thirsk, North Yorkshire and throughout the UK.

In 2002 the running of the company was taken over by Patrick and Gillian Smart who have continued the company's aim of providing a first class service at an affordable price.

The company is heavily involved in the preparation of vehicles for extreme off road competition with Patrick and Steve taking part in some of the toughest off road challenges both in the UK and abroad over the years. Their successes in off road motor sport have led to a deep understanding of vehicle preparation for harsh environments as well as an impressive array of trophies !

The Maddison 4x4 involvement with John Foers and the Foers Ibex stems back to the early days of the company when Steve saw the great potential of the vehicles for both off road and on road use. Since that time Maddison 4x4 have continued to work closely with John and now builds the vehicles in a purpose built workshop dedicated to the task. Each vehicle is built and manufactured to an individual specification and customers are welcome to come and view their vehicle as it is built.
