Most modern Engine Management systems are FLASH re-programmable. This allows car manufacturers to release updated tunes to rectify any driveablity issues purely by connecting diagnostic equipment. It also allows the Engine ECU to be programmed with a performance tune from Diagnos. (Autologic®)

ECU's dating from 2001 are FLASH re-programmable but earlier ECU's were one time programmable which means that a chip would need to be replaced inside the ECU to change the performance. We cannot currently offer the performance tuning of these earlier ECU's, however, the ECU can be changed for a later unit. We can offer a special discount for customer's buying an ECU and the re-tuning option at the same time.

We can quickly verify the suitability of your ECU simply by connecting our diagnostic system to your vehicle.

The performance tune for TD4, TD5 and TD6 engines increases both power and torque. This gives sharper throttle response and better low down pulling power. This does not adversely affect fuel consumption and can result in better fuel economy.
